Creative direction and motion design concept – Art direction inspiration for creative directors, design agencies, and studios by Davy on Rouge

David Batina / BRAND & DIGITAL DESIGNER

Hey there! My story didn't start in a polished design studio, but behind a McDonald’s fryer to fund my degree. What is the deal with fast food line management anyway? Is there a secret manual nobody told me about? That was my true initiation into pressure. Turns out, strict time management is the only thin line separating a happy customer from a sad, lukewarm bag of fries, a lesson that translates surprisingly well to client deadlines.

From the kitchen, I made my way into agency life at Wunderman Thompson Portugal and Innovagency. I got to learn the ropes on major brands, caught the award bug early with Montepio's Social Media campaigns (APCE 2020) and was lucky enough to be invited to join "The Forgotten Team" project. Honestly, seeing that work get recognized nationally and internationally was just an incredible privilege.

That’s where Davy on Rouge comes in. It isn't just a shiny alias I threw on a business card to sound interesting at dinner parties, it’s my method. Think of it as adding a splash of red to a dull page: it’s the secret sauce for taking a messy, intimidating problem, cracking it wide open and bringing the whole palette to life.
